Since the site’s launch several years ago, Investors Underground has been a popular service with both beginners and experienced traders. The Investors Underground chat rooms are home to many of the biggest and most successful momentum traders around including Tim Grittani (@kroyrunner89) and Gregg Sciabica (@lx21), and the quality IU trading courses, video lessons, and daily watch lists are second to none. Multiple Chat Rooms
The first thing we want to cover in this review is IU’s popular chat room feature. Once inside of the Investors Underground members’ area, you’ll have access to several different trading chat rooms, including: Momentum Chat, Swing Trading Chat, Crypto/OTC Chat, and the Traders’ Lounge where you can get answers to all of your day trading questions from Investors Underground moderators and other experienced traders. While the primary trading style of the site is intraday NASDAQ momentum moves (both short selling and long), it’s nice to have access to a variety of different chat rooms based on trading style.
The Investors Underground trading chat rooms are well-moderated and the tone is friendly, positive, and helpful. Unlike many other stock trading chat rooms on the web, we’ve typically found IU members to be encouraging and eager to assist and the 10 moderators do a great job of keeping people in check. Nathan is also extremely active in the chat, but if you’re new, be aware that the main room is all about business.
As far as activity in the chat rooms goes, the momentum chat room is by far the most popular, followed by the swing trading chat room and the crypto/OTC room. Some amazing chat room trade alerts go off during market hours so make sure that you stay logged in.
Also, Investors Underground continues to add new trading tools to their chatroom service and they recently added a price alerts function that instantly notifies you when a stock hits a level that you’re watching. We also really like the new “Ticker Watch” feature which generates a voice or visual alert whenever tickers you’re interested in are mentioned in chat.

Investors Underground’s pre-market scan broadcasts share the top trade ideas for the day and discuss the best stocks to watch, important levels to keep an eye on, and more.
Daily Video Recaps
Reviewing trades is also another important aspect of the trading process and in the daily trade recap videos, you’ll have an opportunity to learn from the best traders in the business and watch over their shoulder as they break down the day’s action and recap their trading activity. Especially at first when you’re brand new and still learning, it’s a really big help to trade the same stocks that are active in the chatroom and discussed in the recaps. You’ll find that the stock chart analysis and market commentary are most useful when you’ve been closely watching the day’s price action on the same names.
Nightly Watch Lists

One of the nice things about these monthly Investors Underground webinars is the time allotted for questions — new traders in particular will want to be on these calls so that they can get answers and assistance with different issues they’re struggling with. Mentorship

To start, Nate first uses FinViz to scan for stocks and his trading style focuses on momentum and multiple time frame patterns, starting with the daily chart and moving to intraday. Below are the presets for two of his main scans, the Green Scan and the Dumper Scan:

Trading services rarely publish their membership data and Nathan Michaud doesn't provide exact details on the number of active members in the Investors Underground community. However, we do know that there are more than 1,000 traders currently subscribed to the service which makes IU one of the most successful online day trading services.
Cam joined Investors Underground in 2010 as a regular subscriber and has done well over the years trading tech and pharma stocks. His preference is short selling and he plays a big role with the IU online community, managing the team and creating course content.
Nate is extremely well-known in the industry and widely recognized by other elite traders as one of the best around.
Nathan Michaud's ABCD setup has made Investor Underground subscribers a lot of money over the years and it provides well-defined risk and high potential reward. First of all, this is a long intraday setup that features an initial spike to the high of the day (A), followed by a pullback. Once the low is in (B), it's important to follow the price action closely and wait for signs of strength. The stock should set a higher low (C) on the next dip lower and once this higher low is in, a long position can be initiated, risking off of the initial low (B) that was established after the large pull. Ideally, the stock will retest the HOD (A) and breakout, allowing you to lock in profits along the way.
